Scott Roderick
Scott A. Roderick received his M.A. in Behavior Disorders and Special Education from Columbia University, Teachers College and has worked in education and with individuals with developmental disabilities for over 20 years.
Previously he was a Teach for America Corps member, taught in New York City, and also worked with the United States Peace Corps on a large disability project in rural Bulgaria.
Scott is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, a Connecticut Licensed Behavior Analyst and a Massachusetts Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst who has developed individualized academic programs and functionally based behavior programs for children and adolescents with autism and related disabilities. Scott has also conducted applied research examining effective teaching procedures and in the treatment of aggression, self-injury and other behavior disorders in a variety of settings. He has presented workshops and research at regional, national and international conferences, conducted workshops and training for parents, educators and service providers and taught Applied Behavior Analysis as an adjunct professor at the University of Connecticut and the University of Saint Joseph. Scott served as the Executive Production Consultant for the award winning Skill Building Buddies series and has served to consult on an array of other mass marketed video modeling projects for children with autism and related disabilities. Currently Scott is the owner/senior behavior analyst at Quantum Behavioral Consulting, LLC. Providing consulting to school based autism and special education programs that service individuals with autism, intellectual disabilities and psychiatric disabilities.
Scott lives in the Litchfield Hills of northwestern Connecticut with his wife Melissa, his three sons, Noah, Elias and Bjorn. He enjoys mountain biking, snowboarding with his family, traveling, hiking, and teaching adaptive snowboarding/skiing.
